Senior Commercial Manager
Strategic Accounts and Cross-border Growth
Zurich & Vienna

Complex
situations.
Made readable.
Successfully
delivered.

I make complex cross-border situations readable and drive them forward reliably at senior level. That is what I have done consistently across commercial, institutional and field environments for fifteen years.

Strategic accounts, cross-border market development and partner or channel-led roles in complex commercial environments across Switzerland, DACH and EMEA. Swiss-based. Open to substantial international travel.

What I bring

Sharp.
Present.
Trusted.

This combination - analytical sharpness, field presence and senior credibility - is what I bring consistently.

I read complex situations quickly - where the real authority sits, what the business pain is, where the growth opportunity lies, what has been tried before and why it did not move. Getting that right early changes how everything that follows is approached.

And then I stay in it. Not just in the room but through delivery. Making sure the operating cadence is in place, that legal and procurement are properly involved, that the right technical people are in the right conversations at the right time. I know who to engage and when because I ask the right questions early - and my legal training means I understand the contractual and regulatory constraints that shape how complex organisations actually buy.

Across fifteen years - commercial roles, institutional environments, field assignments across multiple countries - the pattern has been the same. Walk into a complex situation, make it legible, move it forward, and make sure it holds.

Analytical clarity in complex situations

I find the logic underneath quickly - where the decision actually sits, what the business pain or growth opportunity is, what has been tried and why it did not move. My legal training means I understand the contractual and regulatory constraints that shape how complex organisations actually buy. Getting that right early changes the quality of every conversation that follows.

Senior stakeholder credibility

Experienced working with C-suite and MD-level stakeholders across commercial, institutional and international environments. I earn trust in those settings through preparation, directness and follow-through over time.

Cross-border commercial execution

Aligning clients, delivery teams and commercial counterparts across multiple countries on deals and engagements that have to hold. I keep the thread intact when complexity would otherwise fragment things - and I know how to structure agreements that survive the handover to legal and procurement.

Strategic account development

Building the relationships and operating cadence that turn individual engagements into durable commercial arrangements. Deepening existing accounts, negotiating renewals, identifying expansion opportunities. Multi-year, seven-figure contract closures across competitive tendering processes.

Operational presence and delivery reliability

QBRs, steering committees, executive check-ins - the work that keeps momentum intact and catches risk early. I make sure the operating and reporting cadence is in place, and that legal, procurement and technical experts are involved and aligned early enough for the work to hold.

Best suited for

Where the market is unfamiliar,
I'm most useful.

Not a standard Swiss sales profile. Law, institutional exposure, international field work and commercial execution have shaped the same operating pattern over fifteen years.

Strongest in senior account ownership and cross-border market development in complex commercial environments - where buying cycles are long, stakeholders are senior, and trust built in person is what closes the deal. Particularly useful where the offer is technically complex, the client is a large institution, and the commercial relationship has to survive multiple decision-makers, legal review and procurement.

Works well deployed from a strong central infrastructure into markets where the work is hard. Especially relevant to mission-critical, regulated and partner-led commercial environments.

Swiss-based. Open to substantial international travel.

Experience

The
work.

Two substantial commercial roles, a significant international assignment, and earlier exposure across institutions and markets that built the analytical and cultural foundation everything else rests on.

2023 - 2025
Synechron Switzerland
Zurich

Senior Manager - Key Account Executive, DACH

Responsible for Synechron's Swiss commercial operation: establishing the Zurich office presence, managing five flagship financial industry accounts including SIX Group and UBS Switzerland, and developing new business across DACH through a period of significant contraction in the IT services market. Held full P&L responsibility for a CHF 3-4M territory. Led 3 direct reports and up to 10 Zurich consultants, with oversight of up to 15 nearshore functional reports.

The most significant commercial outcome was restructuring a long-standing SIX Group engagement into a CHF 2.5M multi-year contract for Nasdaq Calypso - aligning stakeholders across Zurich, Novi Sad and Madrid and turning a fragile situation into a durable operating model. Led 15+ commercial proposals per year, two formal RFPs, and multi-year seven-figure contract negotiations across major Swiss financial institutions.

Travelled regularly across Europe and EMEA - Frankfurt, Vienna, Paris, Novi Sad, Dubai, Pune - for client workshops, QBRs, steering meetings, trade fairs and prospecting. Also supported Synechron's European expansion by integrating delivery capabilities from newly acquired partners in Poland and Bulgaria into DACH client engagements.

UBS AG (CDIO)
New York City & Zurich

Business Manager - Change Lead - Business Analyst

Five years across three roles within UBS's Chief Digital Information Office - executive alignment, governance, portfolio reporting and delivery readiness across global teams.

The most formative period was an eleven-month field assignment in New York, embedded in a USD 350M migration of UBS Americas' entire wealth management platform. Within that programme, I supported a USD 50M workstream: helping ramp a 200-person delivery team, co-designing conversion planning with technical leads, supporting an MD-led design council and associated working groups, and facilitating the first full technical rehearsal weekend for 50+ participants across 200+ datasets. Working close to MD-level decision-making in a high-pressure institutional environment - and producing outcomes without a clear mandate - shaped a great deal of what I rely on today.

Before and after New York: project management, PMO and business analysis work across digital transformation programmes within UBS CDIO, including executive reporting alignment across five global teams and portfolio visibility across a large IT development cluster.

Earlier exposure

The
foundation.

Institutional and international exposure across commercial diplomacy, multilateral trade, security sector reform and parliamentary work - built before the commercial roles and running through everything since.

World Trade Organization
Geneva

SPS Unit. Delivered technical training to government officials and ministerial delegates from multiple developing countries, serviced formal committee meetings and contributed to WTO dispute resolution panels in one of the world's most complex multilateral environments. The same pattern was already visible: read a complex situation fast, coordinate the right people, and make it move.

DCAF - OSCE
Zagreb - Sarajevo - Tbilisi

Security sector reform, parliamentary assistance and field deployments across Southeast Europe and the South Caucasus. Capacity building activities with Serbian MPs and regional officials, financial and narrative reporting, and operational support for election observation across complex post-conflict environments.

Austrian Embassy
Tel Aviv

Commercial Section. Market studies, trade-fair preparation and the planning and management of Austrian ministerial and CEO delegations exploring the Israeli market. First direct exposure to senior commercial diplomacy and cross-border business development.

NSW Parliament / Austrian Parliament
Sydney / Vienna

Legal and policy reporting within two parliamentary settings - early exposure to institutional analysis, political process and structured reporting on both ends of the world. The analytical and institutional foundation behind the later commercial work.
